After earning his experience at various architectural and construction firms, John Heltzel realized that clients were sometimes frustrated—they had a vision of what they wanted, but they had trouble communicating their objectives.

He had an idea. In 1991, he founded Heltzel, AIA, whose goal was to listen carefully to customers' needs and desires, and create an environment that would fulfill those needs in both a structural and esthetic way.

Today, Heltzel provides a full range of architectural services for residential and commercial clients, growing from a one-man office to a thriving three-location firm with a staff of dedicated professionals. Over 75% of the firm's work is for repeat clients.

Heltzel AIA has also been featured in Southern Living, Home and Design, Remodeling Today, and Qualified Remodeler magazines, and has been featured in several episodes of HGTV.
